Fashion by the book
KINGSROAD.CO.UK SEPTEMBER 19, 2011Anthropologie has teamed up with Idea Books to bring “Fashion by the Book” to King's Road. The pop up selling exhibition is offering an impressive selection of ninety titles which include many of the most coveted and inspirational fashion books produced. With such a variety to choose from, it will be hard to buy just one to take vintage inspiration from (not to mention lovely ways decorate your coffee table).
You won’t find any supermodel tell alls or secrets behind CoCo Chanel, instead the collaborators have included wonderful titles such as the Comme Des Garcons book of 1986, Horst's Vogue Houses Gardens People, the limited signed edition of Sam Haskins' Cowboy Kate, the super rare 20 Anni Di Vogue, The Fiorucci Book, Not Another Punk Book, Bruce Weber's O Rio de Janeiro... it is quite a collection.
Idea Books has been become the go-to source for all things vintage fashion literature and has made its mark in London at Dover Street Market and Marc Jacobs’ New York and Las Angeles stores.
Choosing Anthropologie as a partner is ideal with their creative clothing and home decor offerings and cult following the store has acquired. The creative company is now in talks of future pop up shops around Christmas.
Trim the tree with Vogue Living and stuff those stockings, fashion people.
