Kings Road

Big news!  I landed a reoccurring spot on Kings Road, an online magazine keeping up all the fashionable people on and around Kings Road in Chelsea.  So, keep a look out for my style inspired pieces! My second story noting the new fashion capital of the world, my new and exciting home, London.

London fashion capital of the world

London fashion
Please grab your it-bag and step back NYC, London has been officially awarded the top spot as the most fashionable city in the world. Thanks to the Global Language Monitor, based in Texas, (which one would think is not very fashionable itself), electronic media, such as the Internet, blogs and social media sites, was used as a survey to see which city had the most fashion forward population.
The Global Language Monitor uses a system that tracks the frequency of words and phrases used in print and on popular social networking sites such as Twitter.  What exactly gave London the tip of the scale?  Two words: Royal Wedding.

With Catherine Middleton becoming a world wide fashion icon practically over night in the blue Issa dress, the next question became, “who will design the gown...”.

Sarah Burton has kept McQueen’s creative spirit alive while making a major impact on the media, not to mention influencing millions of girls’ wedding day inspiration for years to come.  McQueen’s Savage Beauty exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC brought in hundreds of thousands of viewers, but this didn’t keep the long standing front runner in first place.

After New York comes Milan and then Paris and rounding out the top four. With London Fashion Week quickly approaching, this city will be talking fashion for the next month or so atleast. Forget fish and chips or Big Ben, London is currently fueled with Kate-Mania and its stylish trend setters. Keep calm and carry that PS1 proudly.
